Natural Dyes

Administrator: Marie MARQUET

Project members: 27

Description:

This web space is dedicated to exchanges within the Natural Dyes network. It has been opened in partnership with Pl@ntNet and Pl@ntUse. You can join us by creating your page and using it for publishing about your own work with natural dyes, and for contact and exchanges about natural colorants and fibres. We aim to develop research capacities and international collaboration in the fields of history of dying with natural colorants and identification of colorants and fibers in archaeological textiles, to allow collecting and inventorying traditional know-how, and to preserve and enhance such knowledge and textiles.

A special focus will be on designing a knowledge system, be it a formal database or a wiki such as Pl@ntUse.
